The main legal bases we rely on under UK GDPR are:

  • Legitimate interests – for reasonable business purposes such as responding to enquiries or keeping records.
  • Legal obligation – for example, keeping financial records required by law.

Cookies and tracking

This website currently does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may send standard technical information (such as IP address and user agent) to our hosting provider as part of normal web server logging.

If we add analytics or other tracking in future, this notice will be updated and, where required, a cookie banner will be introduced.

How long we keep your data

  • Enquiry emails – normally kept for up to 12–24 months.
  • Client records – kept for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 6 years) for reference, audit and legal purposes.
  • Invoices and financial records – kept for the periods required by UK tax and company law.

We only retain personal data for as long as there is a valid reason to do so.

Sharing your data

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We may share limited data with:

  • Our hosting and email providers, to operate the website and email.
  • Accountants or professional advisers, where necessary for business and compliance purposes.
  • Certification Bodies, where you instruct us to support your Cyber Essentials or CE+ journey.

Any service providers we use are expected to handle data securely and in line with data protection law.
