Background
Izerone Solutions is run by Shrinivas Yerramshetty, a threat hunting lead currently building and running a hunting capability in a UK critical national infrastructure environment.
The route here started in 1997 with PC assembly and support, moved through more than 15 years of enterprise UNIX and Solaris engineering across government and financial organisations, and into cybersecurity in 2019. That experience now underpins Izerone's consulting approach. Before all of it, a diploma in instrumentation engineering — control systems, electronics and industrial process.
That order matters. A lot of security work is pattern matching against a threat feed. Coming from systems engineering means the starting question is usually what this host is supposed to be doing, which is often the fastest route to noticing that it is doing something else. The instrumentation background is why OT environments feel like familiar ground rather than someone else's problem.
Experience
- Established and led a dedicated threat hunting team in a UK critical national infrastructure environment, taking the capability to Hunting Maturity Model Level 2
- Intelligence-led and hypothesis-driven hunting methodologies, reusable playbooks, governance and reporting
- Incident response and cyber investigation across large hybrid Windows and Linux estates in UK central government
- Hands-on with Microsoft Defender, IBM QRadar, Splunk and ArcSight, including query development, log source onboarding and detection tuning
- Detection coverage work mapped to MITRE ATT&CK, working alongside SOC and MSSP teams, threat intelligence and security engineering
- More than 15 years of enterprise UNIX and Solaris engineering in government and financial environments, within a career in IT going back to 1997

Engagements are delivered remotely from the United Kingdom, with consulting available to clients in the UK, the European Union, India and West Africa. Technical delivery can be provided directly or through trusted specialist partners where appropriate. Contracting is through Izerone Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
Time zone overlap is agreed at scoping, so nobody is left waiting overnight for an answer during an active piece of work.
